12/23/2010

Today Jeremiah, Nichole, and Lily arrived in the early afternoon. In the early evening we all headed over to Josh and Jill's who followed us to see Marian, and she was so happy to see all of us. After visiting Marian Klif and I headed to the Village to meet an old friend of mine at Greek's Pizzeria, and everyone else headed to BW3's. Once we got there, the other group called and said they couldn't get into BW3's and that they were heading our way. We had a good time visiting! During our dinner we got a text that said someone might know who the dog's owner was. All of the information panned out, and after dinner Klif and I stopped by the house. No one answered, so we asked a couple of neighbors, who didn't know much, and then headed home. I had already been sleeping in the room with the crib, so we decided that Lily would just sleep in there with us, and Will could sleep in the Moses basket on the changing table. Lily went to bed around 10, and I very quietly crept to bed around 11. Klif was not far behind me, and wasn't so quiet. He came in the room and Lily immediately shot up and stood at the edge of her crib, staring. Klif said "It's time for bed, Lily, go back to sleep!" and she laid right back down. Will had a bit of a grunty/fussy night, and a couple of times when he would make little noises in the middle of the night I would hear Lily say in a whisper, "Baby Will!" She never got up again, though!

Today we were out finishing up some shopping and we headed over to Rachel the Great's to pick her up. We were just about to leave when a dog approached her steps. It looked like a very overweight beagle mix, and I wasn't worried so I kneeled down and she came right to me. She was very sweet, but had no collar or tags. The underside of her body was covered in ice crystals, and she was shaking. I went to both of Grandma's neighbors but they did not know who's she was. The dog followed me the whole time, staying right at my feet! I could not just leave her, especially since there was a very busy road right in Grandma's back yard. I called Josh, who said he would watch her for a while, and we took her over there. She sat at my feet the whole time in the car and shivered! After dropping off the dog we ran a few more errands and then once we got back to Nana and Pa's I spent some time putting the dog's information online in hopes that someone would be looking for her. We spent the rest of the evening in

We spent some time hanging around the house this morning and into the afternoon we got all packed up and headed to Muncie for a long visit for Christmas. On the way I called and found out that mom and dad weren't home yet, so we stopped by Rachel the Great's for a quick visit. (This is her new name from the great-grand kids). Soon mom and dad were home so we headed to their house and stayed there for a bit until it was time to go to the Ball State basketball game. It was a very boring game and Will had fun spending time with the Kile's and watching all of the action. After the game we headed back to Nana and Pa's for the night.

Also - when burning my picture CD from Nana's computer the pictures from 12/21 and most of 12/22 did not burn correctly. All I have are the pictures I took on my phone that day!

After hanging around the house a little this morning we got all packed up and headed to the pediatrician's office for Will's 2 month check up. Everything looked good, and Will is now 13.65lbs, 23.5" long, and his head is 41cm. Will had to get two shots today, and they did them at the same time, in different legs. He laid there, and when they put the needles in he had a very confused look on his face. When they pushed the medicine in, his face got very red, and he SCREAMED louder than he has ever cried before. He was crying so hard that he was having trouble catching his breath! It took me a while to get him calmed down, and once I did I put him in his car seat and he fell right asleep. The doctor warned me that he could have a common reaction to the vaccines, including a low grade fever, fussiness, or sleeping a lot. We ran a couple of errands and then headed home. Well, the doctor was right. Will slept all day. I kept him in his swing in the guest bedroom while I worked on my project in my room. He was sleepy all night, and woke up a little when daddy got home. He still went to bed just fine at bed time!

Will was up at seven and spent some time with grandma while we had a light breakfast and got ready for church. We went to church with Grandma and then headed back home for the game. Klif took some pictures while I took grandma to one more store. Not happy. There, much better. Will loved watching the game with Daddy. Look at that RED hair!We had the pulled pork I had started the day before, and it was really good! After the game was over we said goodbye to grandma and drove home, and Will spent most of the evening with Daddy while I unpacked and cleaned.

We had a busy day today! We got up and started to pack for a night at Grandma Cooper's. I was hoping Will would fit into the track suit grandma had bought him, but it was still too big. We headed out and luckily the roads had cleared up a lot. When we got to grandma's we headed out to help her get some of her Christmas shopping done, and then to Applebee's for a delicious dinner. We stopped by Marsh and picked up some food for the game tomorrow. We headed back to grandma's and she spent some time with Will while I started some pulled pork. I mistakenly bought a pork shoulder with the skin still on it, and spent 45 minutes removing the skin with the dullest knives you can imagine. When it was time for bed we realized we hadn't brought Will's travel bed, so he slept on the floor!

This morning we slept in a little and then headed back over to Jeremiah's where Nana was babysitting Lily again. We picked up lunch on the way. After leaving Jeremiah's, we did some grocery shopping before heading home for the night.
